DIGITAL & AI ADVISORY

About

Full-length portrait of Jean-Olivier Chamberland, founder of Puncheur, against a grey studio backdrop

I'm Jean-Olivier Chamberland, founder of Puncheur, based in Montreal. I founded Puncheur to bring structured, hands-on digital and AI delivery to growing Canadian companies.

I hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (Laval University) and have more than 15 years in aerospace manufacturing, telecom, rail, pharmaceutical and technology : ERP, PLM and CRM platforms, system integration, data foundations and large multi-year programs.

In recent years, I've advised Canadian SMEs on technology strategy, system selection, digital roadmaps and the practical use of AI, from the first diagnostic through implementation planning and governance.

I work in French and English. I stay with a mandate from the plan through implementation.

A lifelong athlete and endurance-sports enthusiast, I work the way I train: a clear plan, a few numbers that matter and an honest read of the results. I chase quick wins before marginal gains. I structure.

I finished my first triathlon, Ironman 70.3 Musselman, 3rd of 120 in my age group, on a plan guided by an AI agent I coded myself. What it taught me about AI projects is in this article.

In cycling, a puncheur is the rider who wins on short, intense efforts. The name is both a nod to my passion for cycling and a reflection of how I work. It's also my phenotype as a rider. A puncheur doesn't win by staying in theory: he reads the race, picks his moment and acts. That's the approach I bring to organizations: bring clarity, simplify complexity and build momentum quickly through concrete results.

How I work

  • The answer first, then the reasoning. I recommend rather than list every option.
  • Something useful in hand early. Every mandate aims to put something useful in your hands in the first weeks.
  • With your team and your vendors. On the ground, not just in a report.
  • Everything in writing. Decisions and deliverables stay with your team.
